How long will my Consultation be?
Consultations are typically scheduled for 60 minutes. However, some appointments may run longer, so we recommend allowing extra time to ensure everything is handled smoothly and without any rush.
What should I bring with me to my appointments?
For your first appointment, make sure to bring along your wedding shoes, underskirt and any other accessories that you plan on wearing for the day. Don't worry if you don't have all of your accessories, as we will talk about options and style you to achieve the look you're wanting for your big day. The most important thing would be your shoes, so that the length of your dress is correct after alterations.
When will my alterations be scheduled before my wedding?
It is important to remember that you should get booked in as soon as possible, as spaces get booked up very quickly for alterations, even years in advance. Most brides will be seen around 8 weeks before their wedding, but this is dependant on what alterations need doing to your dress. If major alterations are required, you may be seen earlier.
I cannot find the dress that I am looking for, can you make to measure if I show you an image?
Absolutely! We'll schedule an appointment with you to explore fabric and color options, and with our bespoke made-to-measure service, you'll get a dress tailored perfectly to your fit.
I want to re-design my dress, can you do this?
You’ll be in expert hands—our skilled seamstress will offer advice and support to bring your vision to life. Let us walk you through the process and help create the redesign you’re dreaming of.
Can you help me if I have a tight deadline?
Yes, you can take advantage of our express alteration services. This is here for bridal alterations that need to be done within the 8 week period with no prior appointment booked.

Can you make alterations to a fully beaded dress?
Our skilled seamstresses have extensive experience with bridal wear, and we’re happy to work on intricate designs, including fully beaded gowns.
How much will it cost to hem my wedding dress?
To provide an accurate quote, we need to see the dress in person, as details like layers, boning, or delicate beading can affect the complexity of the work. Please book an appointment so we can fit the dress to you perfectly and offer the best price, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident.
Does my dress need altering?
Most wedding dresses will need some form of alteration, even if it’s just minor adjustments. With the skill and care of experienced seamstress, any wedding dress can be tailored to perfection. Whether your dress is from a boutique, the high street, or vintage, alterations can make all the difference in achieving the perfect fit. As high street and online wedding dress options grow in popularity, it’s still highly recommended to bring your gown in for a professional fitting.

What can be done to my suit to make it fit better?
Your suit can be altered to fit better by adjusting the jacket, trousers, or overall proportions for a more comfortable and polished look.
Can my partner come with me to my suit fitting?
Of course. We have plenty of space for partners, friends and family members to come along with you to your suit fitting. This is also the case for any other alteration service that we provide.
Do you offer a made-to-measure suit service?
At this time, we do not offer a MTM suit service, but have lots of contacts that are able to supply MTM suits for any occasion.

What is your turnaround for non-bridal clothing alterations?
The time required for alterations can vary based on the type of garment and the specific work that needs to be done. Each alteration is unique, and the timeframe reflects the care and precision needed to achieve the best possible results.
Is your alteration service just for bridal dresses?
No, in addition to bridal gown alterations, we work on all types of clothing—whether it’s a dress, skirt, work uniform, trousers, suit jacket, or even a small rip in your coat. We also offer resizing, restyling, and custom clothing services.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. By scheduling dedicated time for each fitting or consultation, we can focus on understanding your specific needs and provide the personalised care you deserve. This approach allows us to deliver exceptional results without rushing, giving you the best possible experience
Do you take on "easy" tasks?
Absolutely! We’re happy to handle any task, whether it’s replacing a button or repairing a ripped seam. Bring them to us and we may be able to fix it on the spot while you wait.

Do you alter occation wear and prom dresses?
Yes, we have extensive experience altering special occasion attire and prom dresses. Whether it’s clothing or home textiles, like curtains, we can tailor almost anything. Just get in touch and we can discuss options and pricing.
If I have lots to be altered, can I get a discount?
Prices are provided after a consultation to ensure they reflect the specific needs of each garment. If you have multiple items needing alterations, I’ll put together a customized package to give you the best value.
